Studies on Softness

Studies on Softness is a year long project (starting 2022) about the ever-changing balance between softness, vulnerability, hardship, and quirkiness.

Working around elements and textures by always using them symbolically, I am opening a conversation between the material and the intangilble.

A conversation that is being used as a weight to measure, describe and reflect upon the softness and vulnerability of existence.

I mainly work with fine art photography, jewelry and small objects as a way of exploring issues of identity, existence and the wide world of connection.

My work revolves around notions of the mundane and the everyday. Since the very early days of my artistic journey I was intrigued by the way we experience the world both inwards and outwards in our daily lives, and what these experiences might mean for our identity.
